What’s New?!

First off…welcome to my “new look”! Mary Weise of Mary Weise Development created this new look for her Grandma ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks so much my dear girl! Now I’ll be going through a learning curve to understand and use all the new stuff.ย  Maybe this will motivate me to write more often. (I know…it’s been way too long.)

The other new thing is that we got a Cuisinart Food Processor yesterday. We hope this will encourage and help us to each more fresh veggies. As I write, Jim is creating a cole slaw for our lunch. Next experiment will be hash browns! Yum!

The processor (jeez I need to give it a name) came with a video to show how to use it and then a chef demonstrated 12 recipes. We watched all that with our morning coffee. Half the recipes are stuff we are not eating anymore…pie, brownies and such. But we look forward to gazpacho, salsa, guacamole, cucumber salad. The list goes on.

It does seem like a lot of cleanup to use the processor but wow…it really goes fast, does a bang upย  job. I made an herb rub for a slow cooker pot roast that smells delicious. We made a spot for the processor on the counter so we’ll be reminded to create something new each day. (If you live in a small space you know that counter space is at a premium.)

Thanks for stopping by to see my “new look”. If you have any comments, critiques, or suggestions…please do comment. I’ll soon figure out how to post pictures of my chef at work.

I have to say, the trick with food processors (and blenders and cheese graters) is cleaning them right away! So much easier, before everything dries ๐Ÿ™‚

And I can show you how to post pictures! Just ask, silly ๐Ÿ™‚

Clean up fast is the trick! I know you are there to help…but I might remember better if I try to figure it out myself first ๐Ÿ™‚

Had some amazing salsa at a party last weekend. 3 minute recipe made with canned tomatoes (!), onions, jalapenos, garlic (I think) and cilantro.
