I can’t believe I haven’t written anything here for nearly 6 weeks. Bad Girl!!! But since half my life is spent waiting there’s not much to write about. Waiting in doctor offices, waiting for test results, waiting for water to boil…etc. Today I had a partner in waiting. Renee went with us to a clinic so Jim could get a portacath put in.He’s having some new chemo treatments and his veins are pretty bad so this should make life easier for him. I really enjoyed having Renee with me to chatter and make me laugh and help the time speed by.
Also we were waiting to know if we would be welcoming a boy or a girl great grandbaby in November. IT’S A GIRL! Naomi and Brad are expecting again and we’re all happy that Evan will have a baby sister. Now I can be crocheting lots of girlie stuff.
And we were waiting for son Jim to go to Illinois and visit his Grandparents and fix their internet connection. Yippee! He got that done and now we can Skype again. It was so very great to see my Mom and Dad on Skype this last weekend. Mom had surgery several weeks ago and I really needed to see her face and know that she’s ok. Thanks, Jim.
Today is daughter Laura’s birthday. I’m sure she’s not as old as she says. How could that be? How can I possibly have kids hovering around 50? And Great Grands? Yikes! I just set the age aside and enjoy them all. And I am truly excited that there will be a baby to hold again 🙂 Live goes on….
