What a Month
February is one of my favorite months..it's my birthday time. This Feb however had lots of stress. I did have a great shared birthday with Granddaughter Mary on Super Bowl Sunday. That's become a family tradition and we had lots of fun eating, betting in the pool for prizes thanks to Tom and watching the game.
The kids gave me an Apple Airport which should have allowed us to play music in the motorhome through the wirelss system (which is working very well). Jim spent days trying all kinds of ways to hook it up with no luck. Finally contacted Apple and they said it would not work in a motorhome because of the metal superstructure. I think they just have a faulty product.
So I returned the gift to Amazon and kismet set in. Every time I logged on to Amazon the Kindle wifi reader came up and I had exactly the right amount of gift money to buy it. My new Kindle will arrive next week!
The big downer this month is that Jim's latest scan shows more cancer in his lungs. These are a few small lesions that the doctor is recommending chemo and radiation to get rid of them. So he will begin that protocol next week...four months of treatment. Another big boulder in the road but we will get around it.
I had many doctor checkups scheduled for the month and got to laughing to myself. In the last two months I've seen my primary doctor, gynecologist, oncologist, cardiologist, dermatologist, surgeon, radiologist....Oh and proctologist!!...yikes. I'm really not a hypochondriac! All is well and there's nothing to worry about, thankfully.
Oh, I did also get an awesome new little Canon Powershot SX210 purse size camera from Jim. It has a few new features that I'll enjoy like spot lighting one color. I'll post an example of that.
So we'll be here in Hemet for awhile. it's not a bad place to be stopped except for the heat in the summer.... but that is manageable. I'd rather be here with family over anyplace else as we go through the next few months..
