Nature and the Elements
We set up a cozy little area outside to take advantage of some morning shade from our oleander hedge. Little did we realize that the bushes would spew flowers and leaves. Worse than that, the bunnies consider the green grassy carpet their playground. You know what bunnies like to do...well other than that they also leave little round, brown deposits behind. Add one more task to the daily list...sweep the carpet for bunny turds!

We realized this morning that we are sitting between two major natural forces--raging forest fires and Hurricane Jimena. Wouldn't it be great if they got together?! We have hazy skies and a light ash coating on everything outside. The major fires are maybe 30 miles away from us. Some smaller fires are burning in the National Forest here in Hemet but are probably 5 miles away. The hurricane is predicted to head into CA/AZ so maybe we'll get some cooling, dampness from that.
Our power went out for a couple of hours yesterday early morning and once again we were reminded how dependent we are on the power system. Our MH electrical kicks right over to the house battery power but that can't handle the AC. Thankfully, the power was quickly restored and we enjoyed our cool little house.
