Buh-bump

288 miles...Rapid City to Mitchell, SD. How many times have we done this route? :) But something happened to the SD roads. Buh-bump all the way and miles of one-lane or two-way traffic due to construction. So aside from the rocky-rolly ride and the wind blast from the side....it was a good day :)

We have our RV parks that we like along the way so tonight we're at the KOA in Mitchell, SD. There are severe storms forecast but right now at 6 pm the sky is clear blue. We crossed the wide Missouri about 50 miles back and it is really wide this year. It's amazing how green everything is and how much water is still standing or flowing in creeks and rivers. But the corn is not very high due to the cold and wet June.

Jim is outside doing his fave (joking) job...cleaning bugs off the front of Mr. Blue. You gotta do it right away or they just get baked on. It's one of the joys of travel in the heartland...bug city. So while he slaves away I'm writing to you and making a skillet of Spanish Rice. Now that is one of our faves!

OK Mom. Don't be shy. where's the pics of the new do?

Love,
Jim

I agree, I want pics!
Also, your "wide Missouri" reference made me think of "Shenandoah". I love that song :)
Good night!
