Mr. Blue Gets Through
It was a cold and rainy day but our tough Mr. Blue powered by Mr. Banks made it up the mountains and through the rain to Missoula, MT. It was overall a pretty uneventful, pleasant trip. 1200 miles in 4 days. 7.7 miles per gallon at an average of $3.58 per gallon. Them's the facts :)
The alarm did not go off this morning so we got up an hour late but still hit the road by 9 AM. It rained almost all day but never very hard. Today was the prettiest scenery and even in the rain it was impressive. Lighting is everything in photography so even though I've shot these scenes before...couldn't resist doing it again. Here are a few shots on I-15 and I-90 from northern Idaho to Missoula.
Still a lot of snow on the ground at 6000 plus feet.
Now how do we get through here?
It wasn't really as ominous as it looks!
After 7.5 hours of scenic vistas like this we arrived at Jim and Mary's RV Park north of Missoula.
Tomorrow we sleep in and then we'll enjoy visiting Laura and Steve. I'm sure Laura will create some marvelous dinner for us.
