Working On It
I'm sorry the Family Calendar is late my peeps! I'm doing a page a day so at this rate I'll be done mid-January :) Grandson Jim contributed a page and the cover. I keep looking for the right picture for the page and get lost in memory lane. Then I have to take a break from working on the computer. Then I get lost in something else!
I picked up a book at the swap library and started reading to be sure I'd not read it before. Two hours later I got back to the calendar. But what the hey! It's not the end of the world and it will get done later rather than sooner.
I've nearly recovered from the cold but Jim got the BIG COUGH!!! So yesterday he headed for the doctor and got the word. Bronchitis, maybe pneumonia! So off to get prescriptions filled and then try to get him to rest. He thinks that sitting hunched over the computer is resting. I almost have to hit him on the head to get him to sit back in the recliner and just watch a movie or take a nap.
We're still looking for a good RV mechanic to come here and fix the slide out problem. Today Jim will be on the phone with the tech guy at HWH to get some advice. We have someone scheduled to come out Tuesday morning but Jim always likes to know as much as he can so he can monitor what the repair guy is doing.
We expect a big storm here in SoCal this weekend so yesterday we dumped the tanks. Don't like to be doing that in the rain (or snow :). I had not seen how the task is done with the new macerator pump so I was the assistant. It takes a while longer with the new system because you have to stand there and be ready to turn the pump off when the tank is empty...can't run the pump dry. But it's a simple process and less messy. We sure could not have survived in the cold of Gurnee without this setup and it's pretty handy while traveling because there's no hose to rinse out.
I've been cooking this week....really tired of those frozen dinners. So we have two leftover meals to enjoy over this rainy weekend. Stuffed peppers and Swiss Steak. I love having my own "heat and eat" meals. Guess that means I'll have more time to work on the calendar :)

Mom,
Please don't sweat the calendar. There are more important things like being healthy.
Sitting at the computer is definitely NOT resting. You don't breath the same, you don't blink, etc.
