Launching the New Year

Happy 2008! We are launching the new year with a big bowl of guacamole and a Star Wars marathon. That's mostly because we both have colds...since Christmas. Seems like everyone got the bug. Not the way you want to spend a holiday but ...oh well...just sit back and figure out how to make the best of it.

We did have a visit from grandsons Jim and Bryan who took us out to dinner at Applebys. It's always a special treat to be treated by grandkids! And we do enjoy the one on one time. Then we had a visit from Naomi and baby Evan. When we're here in Hemet it works out well for Evan to come for a PlayDate on Fridays!

Naomi and I wanted to have Rubio's Fish Tacos (no one else likes them) so we headed out to get fast food. I walked in with Evan holding my hand. He headed to the counter and told the lady, "I have quesadilla." She said, "Do you want rice, beans or chips?" He paused and said, "Chips!" Yikes! He's only 28 months old and he's ordering fast food!

Back at the MH he decided he didn't want to eat anything but he did have to "work" on the computer. So he sat on my lap and punched the keys. Recently, at a family party he disappeared for awhile. When Tom found him Evan was sitting at the computer with Tom's glasses on working the mouse and punching the keys. "What are you doing Evan?....."I checking my email Poppa!" You think this picture might make the calender?!

We enjoyed a bottle of champagne to toast the new year and talked about what we might be doing in 2008. We have no June graduation in CA this year so we'll probably develop a plan and head out in March for Angels Spring Training in AZ and then....who knows. As another blogger says...I can't wait to see what this year will bring!
