Watch Out
I snapped some pics of this funny looking pair out at the Poppy Reserve. They're pretty smart to look both ways before crossing the double yellow.
I think these are Black-necked Stilts. They are about 14" long and their legs are the same. It was so windy that they were being blown sideways and were doing sort of a line dance side step. Pretty funny. I never thought to take a mini-video with my camera! The bird book says they winter in wetlands....yeah right. I think these two have their signals mixed because I don't see wetlands out here in the Antelope Valley :)
