Not Much Happening
Things are quiet here in Hemet, off the road. We've not been doing much except rearranging storage, cleaning carpet, preparing for taxes thus cleaning files and doing a bit of shopping. We got a new Camping World Catalog on Saturday and spotted a new lounge chair in a bag. We ran up to Redlands to try it out and both liked it pretty well. We've never been fans of most lounge chairs in RV stores because if the legs go up the head goes back. Doesn't make sense to me for reading. This lounge chair, at about $60, is wide and long and allows the leg area to stay flat while the back goes up/down. The only problem is that for me, I need a pillow behind my back to make it straight enough for reading. But it's better to me than any other we've seen. And it fold down to a long skinny tube to bag it!
Today was finger checkup day and it's coming along fine. It's very depressing though to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours and hear all the other patients' sad stories. Lucky me with just a sore finger. Anyway, I'm referred now to 6 sessions of hand therapy. Seems the pinkie provides a lot of the power in the hand grip so the goal is to restore good strength if not full flexibility. In between therapy visits I have to do 3 sessions of hand soaking daily in cold then hot water and then do a series of flexing exercises. And while relaxing I have my little putty ball to grip. Jeez, this is really tiring :)

Well Joan,
We can certainly relate to quiet in Hemet. But, ...
We last visited 4 years ago. This is growing place. The numbers of new houses and more importantly new stores is amazing. We were pleased to find a Super Center and a PetSmart. We enjoyed the Farmer Boy's, but enjoyed the most confections from a little bakery on Harvard St.
We are on the same Datastorm map (#3561), staying at the 1000 Trails until 3-13.
Oh did I mention how much I like all the new roads too.
