New Year Traditions

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!!

IMG_0206_edited-1.jpg

Our New Year's day tradition is to watch the Rose Parade with a Mimosa in hand. Today was one of those beautiful SoCal days, with temps around 70, and people across the nation say, "let's move!" We are happy to be back here for the winter.

Last night we celebrated in our little home with champagne, snacks and a couple of movies. Safe and sound is our motto. We toasted the New Year for each time zone in honor of our traveling life :)

I've been contemplating if and what my New Year resolutions should be. I read my 2006 January blogs and realized I didn't accomplish much on my goals of last year. I wasn't too serious about them I guess. I've always been goal oriented and when I set the goal right, it works. As you can tell from my last post, "lose weight" doesn't work.

One year I resolved to always stop before the crosswalk line when I'm driving. To this day I keep that goal. (Guess I head a close call with a pedestrian). The secret is to be very specific. So I'm thinking on what short, sweet, memorable, specific goal I need to improve myself and my life. More later :)

BTW...the pix above is from my Canon Powershot in super macro mode. I'm not 100% satisfied with the focus. I'm still learning and it's a big curve.
