The Rest of the Story

All is well. The gray tank valve is replaced and working, the mud flapper is installed, again...and we went to plan B for Internet access. We had never used our Verizon Express connection to the net, so Jim got that working and we were able to do e-mail and web surfing in off hours...not a bad deal and worked pretty fast. We connected to news and music through our XM radio and watched a few dvds. Did lots of bike riding and enjoyed the great weather in the West Palm Beach Area.

We spent a lovely evening with Carla and Tom Latta in their beautiful house in Lighthouse Point. I got a small "doggie fix" visiting with their standard poodle, Beau. After gorging on Tom's homemade gravlax (marinated salmon) we had fun assisting them put dinner together in their wonderful kitchen!! I bet Carla could have a dozen people cooking and still have room to spare. Carla and I joked about being together in the balmy breezes of Florida while the rest of the girls took the winter trip to Door County WI. Where would we rather be? You bet!

We spent Sunday afternoon with my sister and family in Boca Raton and had a good time recalling family adventures. Their Bichon, Candy, sat with me for awhile so got some more doggie love. Del told us about the hurricane effect on Lion Country Safari where we saw lots of damage. Apparently, the animals were all evacuated to zoos further north while their home was decimated by wind.

Our Lion Country visit was awesome...another story.
