On the Move
Woohoo...after 2.5 months we are on the move again. Today was an exciting move day. Got up early..7:30...and packed it in. We had an appointment in Kissimmee FL at Camping World for an oil change...so plenty of time. All set so we pull out and the new mud flapper in the rear was dragging on the ground. We sort of thought that might happen but it was hard to tell exactly how it would fall. Jim and our neighbor Wayne (thanks) installed it on Saturday. So under the coach goes the big guy to unhook the flapper which is 8' long and about 16" high. Then we had to figure out where to put it.
So got that tacken care of and realized that we had not put all the tow bar equipment on the car in preparation for moving...so another half hour goes by!
Finally we move out. This RV park was in the boonies, with little shopping around, country roads and slow pace. So we mosey on down the 50 to 27 to 192 into the Orlando/Kissimmee area. Whew...culture shock! Incredible traffic. Took us an hour to go 10 miles. State 192 is a main drag of restaurants, shops and tourist attractions for this area. So with just minutes to spare we pulled into Camping World and in addition to the oil change we got 5" cut off the flapper so it can go back on.
After stopping to shop at a Target Superstore (wonderful grocery selection) we pulled into our KOA site and found ourselves in vacationland with kids and campfires. Quite a change from our geezer park. So we plan to visit Epcot Center, dine at an "all you can eat" seafood place and put the flapper back on.
